The Monster Hunter series of games put you in the boots of a generic monster hunter, and charge you with the task of grinding for better equipment and the like.

The games have nil in the way of a storyline, so the game has to rely on its game play, which thankfully lives up to the task.



Those of you with psp's should check out Monster Hunter Freedom 2.

The game has a steep learning curve (No dynasty warriors style run and kill things type gameplay for you.), but its well worth it.

[For those of you who don't get the topic title, the game has been compared to a single player mmorpg. This is what happens when I try to be funny at 1:30 am.]
