I went through the options and found nothing to change it. Am I missing something, or will I be stuck with this phantom pain?

It usually goes after a while, I wouldn't sweat it.

Just sign out and re-sign in it should be gone.

You can't manualy change your country code, it's related to your IP.
Re-loging in might help, but the chance is pretty low.
You either have to live with the wrong flag, or use a vpn/proxy to change your IP adress to somewhere it does recognize the correct country.

And in case someone was gonna say this: An admin can manualy change your flag I believe, but it will change back to what it is now when it refreshes your country code, and changing it every week/month is just too much work.

Log in on the forums from a mobile device some where in the city where you live, somewhere with wifi based in your country and or city and it should change ingame
