Hey guys i dont know if this is the kind of topic applicable for this section but i really need help with updating my android software to the lollipop update 5.0.1 i think, for some reason i go to software update and it says checking for update but then it just says no update available and says update has already been installed but it has not i would have known it was.

anyone got any ideas on what i can do to install it?

Hi, I think computer/mobile chat board is a more suitable place for this kind of thread to be posted and get a better input/suggestions.

Just because a new version of Android exists doesn't mean it's available for your phone or on your carrier. If the phone says there's no update for you, then there's no update for you.

You'll have to wait until the manufacturer of the phone makes a ROM for it, add extra time if the phone was preloaded with shit & branded by a phone network.

Or you could dig about for a 3rd party ROM and see if one exists.

my sister has the same phone as me and she recently got them new update
