Xsplit crashes my toribash and will not stream it.

You should update your graphics drivers, google how to do it.
Or download a new version of directX, but I think it's the driver.

Twitch gives you a couple different programs and each with a setup guide,
why don't you try looking into some of these: http://www.twitch.tv/broadcast

Anyway, I don't stream, but Open Broadcast was really easy to set up and
it works awesome just as a video capture software.
