I have been using GIMP to do my textures. and I have been wondering how do I use the mouse and make better strokes and lines?

You could check the "Smooth Stroke" option (I think that's what it's called)

I suggest using paths/vectors if you want smooth lines. Unless you have SAI and a tablet you won't be able to get lines like you want.

You will need a pen tablet to make good lines with a paint brush.
Else use the path/vector/bezier tool and everything is fine.

I recommend Photoshop, gimp, paint tool sai, artrage or manga studio.
for vector art I recommend illustrator, corel draw or flash.

Use the paths tool. Its very useful if you'd want to make lines in GIMP.

lol why all these programs i use photoshop with just a brush and my mouse and its just fine if you need any more help pm me ill do my best to show you on skype once i can because i got some really huge amount of exams at this moment will be done in exacly 9 days

Or start off with larger size, so that your mistakes don't appear so strongly when scaled.
