Gimp or Photoshop?
What is better to use to make textures, gimp or photoshop?

There is no difference in difficulty to learn either, PS is more powerful but costs money.

Get whichever you can, artist skill is much much more important than gimp vs ps.

depends on the artist what he prefeeres what is he used to what he likes how high skills he has... ETC

i'd say photoshop for high skilled one cause it has more options and stuff to make the textures/art same as gimp but in a shorter while
Photoshop is easier to look at and it is the standard thing you use in schools. The tools are more looked into and less clustered.

HOWEVER

Gimp is free and photoshop is like 20usd.

forget about gimp and photoshop and start to use corel or illustrator

i personally used gim extensively up to the point i started to use corel, so now if i ever do anything image related i do it in corel and leave using gimp only for photos
