I just downloaded GIMP because alot of the good head texture makers use it. I need help though, please link me to any helpful videos!

This is a no brainier. Google "Gimp tutorials." Learn how to use the program. Once you've learned, look at some tutorials on texturing in the tutorials board. You'll have it down in less then a day, then you can start practicing texturing.
