You have to buy texture items first. You can get them on the shop, market or from other people on the items board.
There are 3 different sizes for the textures. 512x512 , 256x256 and 128x128. The bigger size the better you see, but they are more expensive too.
You can start buying 128x128 textures, they are cheaper and each one costs around 1800-1900 on the market.
If you just want to apply something ,you can start buying cheap stuff like a force, a relax or just blood. Just go to the market type whatever you want , check the prices and if you can buy it. Once you got the item, just go to your deactivated inventory (click on shop and then on the inventory area click on deactivated) and active it.
Thats all more or less, you have a list of all the items on the shop or you can go torishop in game and try the items to see if you like them or not.
