Atm mainly using wWndows.

Ditched *ubuntu and yet to find new distro to toy with.

Well, if you've got time on your hands, Arch Linux is a pretty solid choice. It's my favourite distro at the moment. It's rolling release (meaning it's always cutting edge updated) making it pretty damn secure. It does startup by default with no GUI, but that's around 5 minutes of work (there's a very good guide on a proper easy setup.). So if you're not sure about a distro to mess around with, try Arch

I've always had windows so I'll vote for that because there are a lot of programs available for windows 7 and its cheap.

Windows because games.
Also because you don't pay an extra 50%+ for branding (I'm looking at you Apple).

Linux seems cool, and I would use it, it's just I dunno how or whether I should bother.

@Dose - you can run windows apps on linux through WiNE, and linux is free =P

@4zb41 - It's pretty simple to install and get used to (maybe try Linux Mint, very simple and better than Ubuntu imo) but meh, there is no major benefits over it than Windows for the average user, unless you're developing stuff or running a webserver there is no hugely compelling reasons to switch.

@Afropr0 - I agree with you there, Windows beats Linux in terms of gaming by quite a bit, though *nix is catching up slowly =P, hence why I duel boot Windows and Linux, Windows for gaming and Linux for coding/irc/porn.

I think Windows is far the best.

What things are better? Haha. And I think a barebones linux distro with GNOME2 installed would be both faster and easier than Windows =P
