OnLive is a cloud gaming platform: the games are synchronized, rendered, and stored on remote servers and delivered via the Internet.
The service is available using the OnLive Game System, PCs running Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista, 7), Intel-based Macs with OS X 10.5.8 or later, Android devices and iOS devices.[5] Since the games are rendered on OnLive's servers, a low-end computer may be used to play any kind of game as long as it is able to play a video. For that reason, the service is being seen as a competitor for the console market. All games on the service are available in 720p format. OnLive recommends an Internet connection of 5 Mbit/s or faster, and a 2 Mbit/s connection meets the minimum system requirements.
Over 50 publishers, such as Take-Two, Ubisoft, Epic Games, Atari, Codemasters, THQ, Warner Bros., Kalypso Media, 2D Boy, Eidos Interactive, Disney Interactive Studios, and others have partnered with OnLive.
Over 200 games are available on the service, a full list of which is available at list of OnLive games.
So yeah, i like onlive, i really do.
If you don't have a good enough computer, just go for it, you can actually try ALL games before you decide to buy them wich is rather amazing,
but for the competetive guys this might not be an optimal solution, streetfighter IV and Unreal turmanent for example, well, the small delay you actually have to expect can be annoying enough to rip your hair of.
But out for some casual gaming, or just don't have a good enough computer, well go for it.
Tried out Just Cause 2 and the Batman AC demo, was DECENTLY responsive but if you have a computer that can play the actual games it's obviously better. Nice for my 5 year old laptop I'm currently on, though. (:
I already knew about this some time ago, but i HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who is low on money and cant afford to just waste your money buying game consoles after game consoles.
Also, Evil come on homefront with me D:<!
Ive used online pretty cool it has HUGE HUGE potential and hopefully one day it will be the answer to sucky PC's :P it does have some imput lag and they have some shitty games I wish they had skyrim or bf3 but oh well :P but yeah this is great.
