ok so i use Gimp (gimps for pimps) and i need to know some tips and tricks and what things do and what not so if you gimp users could post some helpful things i would be very happy

hmmm what did i used to know.
You know how to do layer masks?
for nice grey scale effects?
If you use gradients on layer masks you can create a fade out to transparent which is helpful for reflections on the ground (creates that shiny surface look)

Heres something i whipped up in 15mins or so like a year ago.
