Everytime I try and open Toribash it lags hard.

I have never had this problem before it just started.

I have tried the newest one and then previous versions but it doesn't seem to change.

Try to update your Graphics drivers.
Or get microsoft .NET framework update.

Restart your computer, it worked with me, and maybe for you too.
What system do you use? I use XP.
