So my friend owns a ps3 but not a cpu. I would like for him to play toribash since he enjoyed it at my house but I want to ask someone if it is possible to play it on the ps3 by downloading the 3.9 version from the site, if so how?... post a link to the thread if possible.

No. Toribash is only for Wii and PC.
