I need help with texturing because i can make
some basic heads but i would like to move on to better art.

Make it short:
Shades.
Gloss.
Style.

Make it look good.
Its up to you how good you are.

but I Just found out that pate uses illustrator and his tutorial is good but

Well, tutorials wont automatically make you as good as them, they have been texturing for a long time, and you are just starting, with the help of tutorials you can progress faster, but not that fast.
