Well, I've been listening to the same type of music, as you are just starting to, for about 4 years now. But I don't call it "Screamo". I personally think the word sounds homo and non-fitting. There's more than just screaming. I call it Metal, Death Metal, Tech Metal, etc. Depeding on the speed and the sound.

But anyways.

The Devil Wears Prada is a pretty cool band to start out with, a bit slow for my enjoyments, but they are good. But, on the other hand, I don't really like Black Veil brides. There just to ehhh for me.


These bands, that I'm going to suggest to you, are a bit fast with complex rythems.(Technical Metal) And some are not :v

The Faceless, Dying Fetus, Brain Drill, Job For A Cowboy, Nile, Son Of Aurelius.

KiTFoX: Suicide silence is a mix of Screamo/Death metal and what i call rage metal.
Anything where they yell and make their voices sound like that is considered screamo.
