Prisons across the state of Louisiana are handing out special decks of playing cards to inmates in hopes of solving some of the state's cold murder cases.

On each of the 52 cards in the deck is a picture of a murder victim, the time, date, location of the killing and the Crime Stoppers phone number.

If a prisoner knows anything about a homicide, Crime Stoppers says a tip can be made with complete anonymity and rewarded with cash.

Ten thousand of these decks have been distributed in Louisiana's state prisons and another 10,000 will be made available to the general public.

One case has already been solved as a result of the cards.
