i think bulletstorm really has made a revelution it's not like those regular shooters and it's completely different from what you have seen before. I haven't seen any games that even can be compared with it because of it's difference. and it's neither too bad of a game, tho it's not my favorite.

but it's definetively something new

if you don't know what game i am talking about here is the trailer for it

it's a mix of fighting and shooter with the human vs alien concept in general but not with those regular humans or monsters for that sake.
I'm a fucking professional!

Liiike, counterstrike, fear, fallout, battlefield, call of duty, medal of honor, swat, killzone, quake, gta, soldier of fortune, list goes on , whats so revolutionary with that?

Yeah, I used to be a sniper that used shotguns in previous games.
Third Person: Prince of Persia Warrior Within.
FPS: DOOM, Quake, Unreal and yes Halo Reach for it's extremely inventive game play.
RPG: Morrowind.

And yes Halo is revolutionary in a sense, actually more evolutionary than revolutionary.
We have our gay ass standard fps with your standard controls, Jump, shoot, sprint, crouch which appears in Call of Duty, Red mercury, black hawk down, Battlefield, and many others. Now we have Halo Reach, which has Low-grav, Jumps, shoot, sprint, and crouch, Loadouts, that completely changes up combat, from small weapons to large vehicles. The fact that the physics are completely different compared to any other fps is quite revolutionary itself.
I don't consider there to be any games that I can truly say have been huge revolutions that have changed the course of gaming forever. But there are quite a few games that have left their mark.

Prince of Persia (2008) - It wasn't an epiphany game or anything, but it brought about a certain level of clarity to the 'games as art' movement.

Starcraft 1 - I consider this to be the first of the 'high speed competitive RTS' sub-genre that has highly influenced a lot of RTSs since.

The Path - Similar to PoP, it is a psychological game that really pushes the bounds. Like PoP it did not open the floodgates or anything, but it is a very important step; that a game can have such an impact and artistic value.

Link's Awakening - Because of the way it was made, this one I think really opened the floodgates for Nintendo, which is great!
Well... i must say that broken sword shadow of the templars is quite revolutionary aswell.
