I myself don't really use sayings, but I like the sound of some of them, like
"If you can't have what you love, (you've got to) love what you have"
I don't completely agree, since although it encourages keeping down to earth and realistic, it also discourages hard honest work if you interpret in a certain way. Not that I really did a lot of that, which brings us to
"Don't do as I do/did, do as I say"
Which I do agree on, if it's used by, say, a former drug addict lecturing about drugs. It's less of a saying, though, than a phrase used in such situations.
Then my native Finnish favorites, which are also more like phrases... because, you know, now that I'm "asked" about sayings, I can't remember actual sayings... might be back when I do.
"Kiinni kuin paska Junttilan navetan seinässä"
or
"Stuck like (the) shit on the wall of the cowhouse of (the) Junttila (family)"
"Vedä kielari pistorasian kanssa"
or
"French-kiss a power outlet"
the latter is probably a twist on the classic "kuse muuntajaan" or "piss on a transformer", but a better one at that if you ask me. Luckily I haven't had to use either one.
