Almost positive that everyone is wrong.

When the join texture was created, I believe you made the star a transparent color, so the force/relax color behind it decides what color it is. Change the transparency to the solid white color and TA-DA!

Ninja'd, also I have no idea about join textures, so listen to jusmi. I guess you can't make it the solid white color. Changing it from white to transparent in my opinion is kind of dumb.

maybe try editing the alpha channel image or just fill the star with a different colour

Joint textures act like a semi-transparent overlay to your original force color, which is why the raider can be seen through the white star.
