First WIP I have posted of this texture.


First of two versions of a head, the second is being made as a collaboration with Jusmi.

I can bet money (Not going to) I'm going to veer off somewhere and leave this texture.

What is it?

So far I can gather that it is a mask of some sort, perhaps a start of a robot?

Not really much to say about it, other than it's coming along great.

The back isn't that good, it's too pointy while the front is smooth.
The shading and highlighting is sexy.

And I don't like the back, and how about you add some yellow colored eyes,I think it'll be great and actually I like this style. Cool shading bro.

It's a robotic mask thing for the lower area of the texture, but the top of the texture is going to be like bones and organic material.


The back on that one was me being an idiot and drawing random lines to give an awful preview :c

Nah, this isn't going to be free, but I am posting some early versions so that people understand the process.


Yeah, same thing as m0nk3y8.

I am most likely going to go a bit creative with the eyes and the mapping there on the top of the texture, but the bottom of the texture is going to be a bit less bland once this is all done.

Looks like you had absolutely no idea what you were doing. Just some random brush strokes over 2 or 3 layers and then sharpened. 4/10

What I suggest you is using "Round Angle Low Stiffness" brush with low opacity. You will be able to make this kind of head in around 3 minutes but the overall quality will be much better. And another suggestion, instead of adding white/black strokes use dodge/burn tool it will also improve overall quality.
