I have a PSP 2000

uhm...

I've had it for a couple of years now. It works perfectly fine! nothing was wrong with it... This happened:

A while ago I was going to add stuff to my PSP
I got the PSP's USB cable
Connected it to my laptop
Waited for several hours...
Nothing happened nothing came out

Could the USB cable not be recognized?

My psp says:

Connect this system to a PC or a PS3 system using a USB cable

i changed its position it says

please wait...

As i remember , go to setting and there will be something says like use as usb drive

I did that. Nothing helped me at all.

Probably the usb cable have worn out
Better buy new one

Try a different USB port, try a different computer, make sure the cable is plugged in to the PSP and computer well and isn't loose. Try jiggle it around. Try restarting the computer.


It's possible for a cable to 'wear out' but it's not common.
