Most of these games may not be suitable for your PC, because most of them are really outdated, especially Blood 2.

Also, Alone in the Dark is quite fun. At least as I was kid I was always scared by it. I think it was part 4, I got it for Christmas from my uncle (but seriously, it's a friend of mine that is faaaar older than me and was taking care of me while I was little) and I was to scared to beat first minutes of the gameplay, lol. I remember that I was eating something and I accidentally look at graveyard gate, and after a minute suddenly there was thunderstorm and a zombie face showed up. For few hours I didn't touch my pc. Nostalgia!

however im not scared of anything fictional, but it does have the chillin atmosphere

the first one scared me more than penumbra. man, those noises. when i first played it (was about 14 or 15) i couldnt play it by myself, a friend had to watch me.

manhunt is also a good one, not scary, violent and fun.

The f.e.a.r series is good if youre looking for something more recent, the 3rd one has placed alot more emphasis on mood and chill factor i think, but its just so slow to start up. played it for an hour.

Dead Space 1 and 2 are also great halloween games.
