Well I recently found out that I had Photoshop CS4 for a ages. ( -.- )
Now I'm still getting use to all the new tools etc.
Now I am not able to find the most important tools which I used when I was in gimp.


I cannot find how to get this line in photoshop.
I really need find this line so that I'm able to to see where the middle layer is.


I'm also in dire need of finding out how to measure the pixels of my layer.

If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated.

menu -> view -> add guide
or alternatively, CTRL +R to enable the on screen ruer and drag a guide from there

next, theres a measure tool in photoshop (accessible window-> info)
or alternatively, Menu -> image -> image size
or Alt + I, I

View > Add Guide

Pick Vertical and type in the half of the format you are working in. (EG if you are working in 512x512 you would write: 256 px)
