The game is set in 2027, 25 years before the first title, where corporations have extended their influence past the reach of global governments. The game follows Adam Jensen, the security chief for one of the game's most powerful corporations, Sarif Industries. After a devastating attack on Sarif's headquarters, Adam is forced to undergo radical surgeries that fuse his body with mechanical augmentations, and he is embroiled in the search for those responsible for the attack.
Human Revolution received critical acclaim upon its release, with many reviewers praising the open-ended nature of the game and the weight of conversations on the outcome of events.

So, a sequel to a game widely regarded as one of the best game of all time. What could possibly be bad about that?

For me, the graphics look dated, and the art direction is no where near as good as it should be. Game play was stale and seemed more like a miss-matched quilt of game play ideas rather than a finished, polished system. Story seems pretty mundane so far, but I'm not finished so I will wait for the final verdict on that. Game seems to be built for replays, since many of the levels are designed so that only after completing the level you can see the right way. Also exploration seems to be discouraged, in the first area I hacked and explored everywhere, but the profits were minimal and it turns out all the locations were places I would have to visit for side quests. I couldn't seem to find anywhere worthwhile that was not for a quest...

Also an annoyance is that "this limb clinic received sizeable donations from your boss so that you can get praxis any time you want! JKS we only sell 2 of them". Didn't put the game off to a good start I'll tell you that...
I love this game. The graphics are a little weird and the FPS likes to drop every once in a while, but other than that, the game is just great for me. I'm always a fan of good stealth games. And you still have the option to just go in guns blazing.

The boss fights were shit and the occasionally omniscient AI was... odd. Also the way you choose how the game ends (I'm not going to ruin it for people who haven't played but if you have you'll know what I mean) was terrible. But in saying that it was fun. The 4 skill paths were all equally good. The detail of the hubs was pretty good, although it wasn't much more than in the original. There were also some really nice details. For example, the office thief story (it's a little difficult to find but if you do it's pretty cool). So yeah, not the second coming of Jesus that most reviewers are making it out to be, but definitely not a bad game either.
Oh man... The boss fights really felt like a sucker punch. I was really disappointed with those. My guy has minimal combat augs, but I'm forced to fight up front? It's pretty silly. The first boss fight was especially combat-oriented, which bugged me, but I guess the others weren't as bad.

Well, i stick to the first one simple as that.
This was good looking, well done, but it doesnt match my Deus ex "playstyle"
Im very stealthy, and at some points i cant just be it, i HAVE to do this or that, doesnt feels like deus ex, dev's seem to forget what a good game really is.

Same with duke nukem, though... in 12 years we will find out again.

Imo it's suffering the same fate as Invisible War: that game would have been fine (is fine) if it wasn't for the fact that it had "Deus Ex" as a header. This game is brilliant, and while sure, it isn't like the original, it's still a damn good game.
