I would like to know if I can use hair color to reclour the red submarine to orc, I saw iAwesome put void hair colour onto a green hat but it doesn't seem to be working for me.

Isn't hair colour can't be used with 3D items ?

He probably had the "Gentleman's Essentials" item, which is a hair item similar to the green hat looks wise

I'm guessing it was a glitch that has since been fixed.

Hair items are for hair, not 3D objects. Aside from the items being textured now - thus immune to item colouring, they're made to be static in appearance. It's a red sub, so it's red & will stay red.
