Achron, a 'meta time strategy' game
So I recently stumbled upon this game that's been in development for a few years now and I thought it was interesting. It's a real time strategy game effectively. You send out units to battle other players etc, but the big difference between this game and other rts' is that this one employs a form of time travel.

From the FAQ:

Q: What is it?
A: Achron is a multiplayer real-time strategy (RTS) war game designed around the ability to time travel anywhere along a timeline. Jump back in time to save that production facility, or add a flanking maneuver to an attack! It's entirely up to you.

The game is currently in beta and they are accepting pre-orders for $30 (pretty steep tbh) which allows you to get access to the beta and all future updates (similar to minecraft :P).

It seems like a really interesting concept at least. Im not sure but I may bite the bullet and buy it just cause of how interested I am in the time-travel concept. If I do I will make sure to post my thoughts on the gameplay!

Till then though, you can check out the different gameplay vids here

functionally working with our site now), and Steam is planned for the
final release.

We've been delaying PayPal mainly because commercial merchant services
providers are easier to work with and less expensive than PayPal. We use
First Data, which is one of the largest credit card processors in the
world (they are larger and more mainstream than PayPal, though they have
less consumer awareness because they do "white label" products). If you
pay with a credit card, your credit card data is not stored on our
servers. Also, if you're in the USA, Federal law is really on your side
for buying online with credit cards.

Steam does have benefits, but in general, if you want to support indie
game development with more of your money, I recommend buying directly from
the indie game company.

Thanks for your interest!
