Hey everyone, I bought a Windows 7 eMachines laptop, everything works completely fine other then one massive drawback. Each time I type the keypad lags for about 2 seconds. I've tried using a USB mouse but it still lags after I type making it impossible for me to play games. I can't even type while playing Toribash due to losing time from the 2 seconds of mouse lag. Any help would be appreciated.

hmm...do you have any high-speed USB ports?
Maybe try and re-install the keyboard..
Start -> Control Panel -> Add Hardware.

I'll try that now.

did it come with re-install discs?
if it did, look for one that says anything about a keyboard.

Thats very strange... Is your mouse wireless?

I use a USB mouse only when playing games, when I'm doing normal things I use the built in laptop pad

the delay could be caused in task manager. check to see how much of your processor is being used when you type

Does toribash even work properly with 1.6 ghz?
Cause I got 2.2 x 2 and it uses my core like 97 % most of the time!

It isn't being affected at all.


Toribash isn't related to the problem.

Try downloading the latest drivers from you're manufacturers website, they tend to help allot.
