Someone care to explain what GUI textures are? I see that you can get GUI Splatter and it looks like you can customize the way your blood looks as it hits the ground... But I've never seen that. So.... Can someone explain?

No, it's not the way that blood looks when it hits the ground, it's the menu GUI.

Maybe it wouldn't be pointless if someone would made an event where you need to design TB GUI. Then it would be a contest. :}
