Makes it impossible to figure out who owns an account. We don't like that.

Furthermore, there is no way to prove that someone didn't pay for it, and thus that it wasn't an account trade.

We can prove that someone has used an account. That does not prove ownership.

I'll also point out that roughly zero of existing online games/communities/whatever support or permit account transfers.

We cannot be held responsible if you decide to give someone else your password. People continue to hold us responsible nonetheless, so we're just going to prohibit you from doing it altogether.
