That fire head is a nice idea with the alpha, I also really like your kankuro head but your eyeball needs abit of touching up on the seams and maybe abit of darkening on the top of the half of the iris to insinuate its concave inside. I don't know much about gimp I only really use it for the spinny globe but if you have photoshop try ->filters->others->offset. And that will move the image so you can see the seams give em a alil tweak n move them back with offset again.
