Hello everyone, well first of all, today I bought a game for the computer called 'ArmA 2 Combined Operations' for a mod called DayZ. I don't have the best computer in the world but if anyone else has this game would you mind telling me what I would be best doing to get no/less lag? Thanks and peace

Going into nvidia control panel(if you have an nvidia GPU, I don't know what to do for AMD) and setting the quality preference to performance would help a bit, also lower some settings in-game

Make sure your drivers are up to date, and close any unnecessary programs that might be using up CPU.

You could also install MSI Afterburner and overclock your GPU, but do this at your own risk because it will void any warranty and may harm your GPU if you mess up.

EDIT:Below, I did have it on my old PC, but not on this one and I'm too lazy to get it.

Hey , i'm thinking about buying arma2..but which dlc does DayZ come with?..also i heard i would need a really really good laptop to play it..is this true?Also is dayz compatible with controllers?

DayZ is going stand alone so if I ever want to buy it then I would wait till it's release.

Turn off motion blur and another setting... Sorry I forgot, but there's 2 settings that make it artificially laggy. Play around with the settings.

If you don't have any good PC i just recommend to stay out from big servers like 40+ players.

DayZ lag is all about the server.

How many players.
How many zombies are spawn.
How much loot around the world.

Everything creates lag and when theres much of this "everything" the lag is huge.

But things have been fixed in standalone.
It have been tweaked that zombies and loot won't create as much lag as in Arma 2.

And it should be coming out before or at least in summer.
