Official Clan VS Unofficial Clan
Whats the advantage of official clans over unofficial clans?

Having a forum of their own (more threads and such).
Being recognized by the community more through the tag ingame.
Can participate in official clans only events.
They can also try and become higher in ranks, measure their activity...

Official clans have a clan board instead of a single post.
They changed it lately so unnofficial clans could have a tag with a - infront of the tag for a certain cost(example: [-Me]) But when toriclan was implemented only official clans could wear tags.
Also, getting official is an accomplishment overall for a clan.

There is somewhere in the stickied threads that say how much you should pay to apply for officialness. I'll find it.

Official clans are much more organized than non-official.

Like music thread goes here, recruitment goes here etc.

Non-official clan has only one thread and everything becomes mixed up if you are not careful.

Becoming official is like buying a villa then living in luxury for rest of your life.

There are two main reasons why you want your clan to become official.
The first one is your own board where you can make as many threads in as you want. You can make stickys and annoucements, you can close, delete and merge your threads as you may want to and you can choose up to three people to get those power. Clan boads are fixed to a position so they can't get to any second page if you don't post in it for 3 hours ;)
You can even get a privat sub board in your clan board with a password.
You still have to follow the general forum rules though and you have to actually use your clan board.

The other reason would be the Toriclan page for your clan
Toriclans
All official clans get a toriclan page. Toriclans enable you to have a clan tag in-game and displays your clan name below your post count. It has clan war feature where you can fight other clans and it records all the scores for you. It also ranks you against the other official clans.

Since unofficial clans can also have ingame clan tag, the second reason is pretty pointless.

Clan wars have been increased lately because of this "unofficial toriclan".
