I really need tips and any other information on how to make a metallic effect in gimp.

dude this is a great head i dont think its bad at all

I think it's good this way.
I personally prefeer robotic heads without all the fancy shining effects.

The lines looks kinda messed up, well I'm going to fix those later. Thank you for the CnC anyway guys.

The Head Is Perfectly Fine But, The Visor Seems To Be A Bit Small

I think your style of robotic may looks better if you put some outlines in the middle of the plates, will give deepth effect too.
Try to raise the visor a bit and will be good.
I like the colour theme, and the back mapping looks pretty nice!

the eyes or what ever is that is too low
add more details on the top of the head and the face
fix the lines and make them clear
drink some apple juice while drawing

that way it'll be epic

I'm gonna have to agree with him ^^^ the eyes/ visor do look a bit to low and also in the back of the head the platting looks a little sloppy and there are to Many plates the head looks like it's supposed to be "simple" but there you have lots of small prices

Meh, I give it a 6/10. You can do better. Add some circuit boards or something and try to go for value to add depth.
