Some of you might've seen me making this head on TwitchTV.
Thank you for your interest, I hope you've learned a bit!
If not, I hope you've enjoyed watching me take ages to finish this.

So the guys from GATA set up a challenge, I believe it was 13chillz.
The challenge was to create a head with the colours Demon and Raider, in a robotic style.
This is what I've come up with.

Hisokana, meaning "stealthy" in Japanese.

There are a couple of points that I'm not entirely happy with,
the most prominent being the round holes and visors on the side.
I also think that I should come up with a smarter solution for the Raider behind the visors.
And last but not least, I could do some detailing.

Software: Photoshop CS6, Pentool and Gaussian Blur. C4D for the animation.

Another awesome head by AlphasoniK. I liked the name! Very creative.
Also, nice coloring there. The inner parts (the blue one) looks so realistic like there's a lightning in it!
Nice shading you made there on the black-part.
It's just very realistic and cool like 99/10.

Really liked the stream, and I love the head! The things that could get better would be the O's in the ears. A great head overall.

Cool stuff, as usual.
Almost everything looks awesome, besides some minor stuff which is more of a personal preference than anything. (i.e. that spike in the middle of the vizor, etc)
Really dig how the sides are mapped.

Judging by a fraction of the stream I saw, you shade your heads by just simply making a shape and applying Gaussian blur afterwards, right?

Well this must be one of your most boring pieces.

Yeah the rounds is not something I'm proud of. Will see if I can fix that once I have time.


The top maps weirdly, if I add a lot of detail there it will look squished.
It's a shame but that's just how Toribash maps their textures.
The very top has to be a bit bland otherwise it will look weird.
Once I find out how to do it otherwise, I will!

On this head I tried to do everything by pentool so yeah, I drew the shape and applied the blur.
Usually I either draw or I blur by hand to get other sorts of shading.
This was supposed to be matt plastic so the soft blur worked here.

Not to speak on Alpha's behalf, but he has always stuck to using simplicity as one of the key factors in his texture making, some people might find that dull, but that's just too bad.

Love the head, great coloring, wish I could see a bit more depth on the front though.
