when I try to purchase a item I am told I need 20 Qi to buy it, being new to this I have no idea what qi is but i am fairly certain you gain it by playing games... my problem is I am very nearly a brown belt and have 0 qi... any ideas?

hey jabber, im not sure if its a bug or not, but on your achievments your still a white belt, with 0 qi... maybe u connected with a alt check your name ingame and try again.
