[HELP] translation SPANISH/PORTUGUESSE
recently i ran into a problem. i can't find the definition of acronyms of these

talking about wine

ALC = 12.7
AZ = 1.1
IC = 8.2
Volátil: 0.48

alc is clearly alcohol, ic most likely mean acid, but what does the other tho mean?
If my chemistry does me any justice, the last one (volatile) probably only has relevance with the wine's boiling point.

I don't know the other one (AZ) though, but I'd give my guess that it has to do with vintage.
I'm sorry, but why on earth would this go in Discussion... *facewall*

Volátil is a Spanish word so since I know Spanish I should tell you what it means.
Volátilidad determines how fast a liquid substance or solid one turns into vapor with the temperature put on. This also can be used to test the acidity of the wine.

Volátil/Volatile
Volátilidad/Volatility

I will tell you about the other one later, have a nice day!

IC-Intensidad de color, which means the intensity of the color of the wine, you welcome!

Got it here.

As it seems, IC stands for Índice de Colmatación (a literal translation would be 'Index Clogging'), and it is something about the filtrability of the wine.

We need an spanish guy to give some more info!

Haha I just went to a wine page and found that, I don't know, maybe you're more right. But wine can last for a long time and you filter it in the process. You can filter it again after being bottle and refine it if its to old. I just don't think they add the filter level in the back label if he's talking about that.

*Random pages, sorry if this confuse you*
