your jabs and backdashes to control the pace are really great, tabby!
i feel like you lack some aggressiveness though... doesnt AK have good mixups? if so i think you should move forward more actively when your opponent is open. I believe that might be influenced by this poor connection rate too
<[Vector]Aadame> damn pat with his mod skills Need help? PM me! Reach me on Discord: Lionet#1325
yeah no im usually too aggressive if anything lol i was just being really cautious because i don't know enough about anna and from what i can gather they are a mixup machine with lots of launchers so i was fearing that if i went on the offensive too much id eat a million combos
ive switched to feng when my execution on kazuya isnt great on some days
im still learning him but i think he'll be fun once i put as much effort into Feng as i have kazuya
heres gameplay of me getting smashed by a devil jin that knows
well i already gave you advice regarding this set over discord but i feel formatted like a forum post may be more helpful
game 1
when your back is against the wall like it is at 0:47, your absolute first instinct should be to get away from there as fast as possible, you can do that by sidestepping, using a powercrush (or anything to get distance, maybe a blocked electric) or using a grab that sideswitches to punish the opponent, but that may backfire
you should never do the df1, 2, extension on anyone above brawler rank as they will definitely see it coming and punish it, it should only be used sparingly to catch the opponent off guard when they try to attack once they think they are able to, it should not be your primary option to start your mixup, especially when you are still at the wall
after the first round you can give a vague estimate on what your opponent might do at the start and try to gamble it, at the start of the second round i would have went for a powercrush or a jab, both would have beaten djin's advance
electrics should not be your first instinct every time you are going to wavedash in, as they will expect it
as they are a mishima player, you can safely assume that they wont punish a blocked electric as not to risk getting launched, so i wouldn't add another electric after, instead try a hellsweep or something to catch them off guard, or if you think they'll try to stop your advance, go for a powercrush
good application of mixup, but remember d/b+4(?) is i18 and -12 on block, so be careful when using it. as d/b+4 is only +4 on hit, you shouldn't go for a hellsweep after as it will be beaten out by a poke
after your opponent lands a successful poke, you don't need to know the specific numbers, you just need to know they are positive and can beat you out if you choose to do a slow attack, so i would either have answered back with a jab or been prepared for their next attack
again, your first instinct at 1:25 should be to escape the wall, not to attack, and because of this you were splat (thankfully they dropped the wall combo tho, and went for some silly tech instead which didn't work)
rest of round is good but you were pretty unsafe with so many jabs, but it worked so it doesn't matter
if you miss a punish like you did on the hellsweep don't bother going for it
if you land an electric don't back away, keep up the pace even if you miss the combo opportunity (with maybe ff+4)
whatever the fuck happened during that wake up is stupid, but even so you shouldn't punish it with a hellsweep, instead go for an electric (or just a wgf) or go for a grab, both are way safer than a hellsweep
last round is basically just everything else i mentioned but what was that rageart bro
game 2
you got owned the first round lmao
again don't go for a hellsweep after a poke but it worked out well that time
if they see you dickjabbing and df2ing they know an electric is coming, so don't go for it after you fail it 4 times
good application of mixup, rest of round is pretty solid
risky hellsweep at start of round 3 but it worked
remember to wavedash if you think they are going to sideroll, as wavedashing tracks step movement
you should be more defensive when you are at low health, poke and punish
double electric connect was fucking awesome
rest of the round is pretty standard but you should have got away from the wall before you got splat
don't throw out d/f+1, 2 when you are at a health disadvantage, you are asking for death
game 3 is essentially the same as the other two, but you were looking very strong near the end of the 1st round, but you were being too unsafe and got punished for it, though good keepout
round 2 was looking very even until, again, you let him get the wall splat and basically ended the game
next round was sort of even and last round you got destroyed, but you were put in a terrible position at the end so its understandable

i know giving advice on specific situations is pointless because every match is different but most of what i mentioned i feel are recurring problems that are costing you the round/game and are important to keep in mind

unofficial FT10 against phish (his game crashed after the last match and we stopped)

Picked up Kazuya for the first time against a friend who uses Mishimas for a living
It surprised me at how effective Kazuya is for learning fundamentals like mix-ups and 50-50s. I can't do PEWGFs yet, but I managed to win a set knowing only like 10 moves from his arsenal.
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] I'm your top tier waifu.

Pssst! Aeon is just boomer Adventure. Pass it on.
Kazuya's a very good introductory character but his skill ceiling is so high, before Tekken 7 in TT2 I used to main Law and Raven, Before settling on Josie I dabbled with Leo, LC and Maven, I still sometimes play Leo but I'm having too much fun with Josie and I've pretty much giving up on getting better with Leo.

i wasted a lot of my time on perfecting pewgf because the dopamine it provided me was too great and i just had to do it again, currently i've done it in practice at the very least 30 recorded times and i've done it 3 times online and once against tabby
because i spent so much time practicing pewgf i never learned how to do much else with kazuya, i can 3 ewgf b2,1 big boy staple with him often but thats on the off time that a ewgf connects. i cant really perform well in the neutral or at poking because i am 100% aggression and don't really learn block punishes unless i figured it out myself while playing
