TF looks good, and I love his passive. I think I'd probably just build AD, mid laning and helping with ganks every now and then.

My general tip is to wait until a champ you think you'd like is free that week.
play him a lot and see if you still like him after all that.

He's only 1350 though, doesn't take very long to get that much IP o.o

Yeah waiting for him to be free is a good idea. Just play champs that are free for a while and just try to get a handle on general gameplay skills like last hitting etc.
