I recommend Bryce 3D, you can create beautiful 3D scenes with it easily, and with its partner program Daz 3D you can make realistic 3D animations, thats just the basics, you can do anything you could possibly imagine with it

Very easy to use, very difficult to master... like other programs (photoshop for instance) there are millions of tricks you pick up while using it, and you can never learn them all. Daz 3D plays a big part, it just allows the use of posable 3D models, some have hundreds of moveable muscles in the face to create stunningly real facial expressions, and of course each limb on the body is moveable, you can create animations with this, then the moment you close Daz 3D (if opened through bryce) the character appears in Bryce with it's animation set...It's an extremely useful program.
