That's a fair point. With proper planning and good grasp over a programming language, you can do a hell lot more than printing numbers.

My first useful java program was a percentage calculator. I'm still a newbie though.

I learnt some c++ by vox and currently learning java from Fish via IRC.
That's pretty cool. I just used tutorials from google for java. And I learnt Delphi from dchool.

From what I have discovered in field of learning programming, tutorials or written material is good enough to get you started but they have their limits. They cannot answer your questions or remove your confusions.


I use humans for that purpose.
