Turn off mouse smoothing.

I forget what the exact option is, but look in controls and there is some goddamn stupid setting that is set on which makes your mouse sluggish and snappish.

2days later. After a week of lingor island i finally did a real attempt to make osmething happen that comes close to endgame.
Currently full toolbelt, 3 vehicles and about 100 random mid and high tier guns and 200 ran overed tents later i am endgame.... only took like 2 days.... lingor is fun...

Just bought Day Z on Steam and I wondered if anybody here plays it?

I purchased it on steam. Its pretty damn nice! Lacking a few things (like going up north, which is currently a waste of time becauase there is NOTHING in forests and the towns are really, really far away from one another.

Currently, deaths are a bit stupid. Its always the same thing. Fight zombie(s), bleed, bandage with either rags from shirts or bandages, vision gets blurry after 10 bleed effects or so. Keep on walking, try to find someone to make a blood transfusion, don't find anyone or find someone who wants to kill you, keep running, get stabbed by a zombie once, die.

My characters live for like 10 hours, are fully looted but I can't find anyone who loots the towns up north and when I find someone he tries to kill me.

Fun game however, worth the 30$, and it can only get better!

My laptop has difficulty running it on the lowest settings, but it's still useable. the frames just jitter more often than not. I ran around, found some stuff. Got bored because I had nobody to play with. Jumped off a building. "You are dead". Cool
But besides that.. it was a waste of money to me, guess I'll have to wait until I can get a group of friends/a better computer to take advantage of what I paid for.

Really want this, played the Arma II DayZ mod for a while as well as Wasteland, and the new standalone version of this looks really good. If I manage to scavenge up $30, I will post back on this thread.

I'll buy this as well when the time comes, Getting really hyped to be honest, I just love the survival scenario you're in.

Hunger mechanics etcetera, decent injury system!

So yeah... Bought it, ran around with a motorcycle helmet and a screwdriver trying to find some actual useful loot until I spotted a man without pants chasing me around and knocked me out..

10/10 would play again.
