Last week, my brother, dad and I went shooting with a family friend. He has a couple of handguns that he brought with him, and we brought rifles and our own handgun. Our friend brought two guns: a 9mm Glock and a .45 ACP Sig Sauer. the handgun we brought was a .380 Smith & Wesson. Those of you who know guns fairly well should see where this is going.

After a few times going around with the rifles, we decided to try out the handguns. We had tasked my brother with loading a few mags for us while the rifles were coming to an end. We assumed that he understood that the boxes we had placed by each gun were for that gun and that gun only. My friend grabbed our S&W pocket pistol and began shooting. He quickly realized that something was off with the gun, as his shots weren't going anywhere near where he wanted them to go. After a short inspection, we realized that my brother had loaded 9mm rounds into the .380 clips and vice versa. Not detrimental to the guns, but .380 rounds in a 9mm chamber will be a tight fit, and the cartridges won't eject when fired. The other way around will be loose and won't be accurate when fired.
