Aren't the episodes just opposite world's due to the tree of life(if that's what it is called) and personally I don't like them but that is my personal opinion. The only one I liked was when everyone acted completely opposite to them selves.

No, it's not about the opposite world. It's about Jiraiya's Ninja book, well as you know, he wrote a book about a tale of a Ninja (Child of propechy/Naruto) which is a really nice story, even I feel it's kind of rushy somehow. It's worth to watch, don't take the story seriously, just watch it and enjoy.

That's actually because of the tree. Since it's all happening inside Tsunade's head. In that word he didn't die and managed to write up that story for her to read.
