With the stick figures, your lines look very sketchy, like you're trying to make it look controlled. Loosen up a bit and try using one singular line. Don't worry about proportions right now, it'll come over time. For now, I'd recommend just loosening up and showing more fluidity into the lines rather than doing multiple.
