Using basic shapes always helps
(In this case) Once you draw the circles, you can build upon it. Adding the muscles, feathers, eyes, etc etc.
It's way easier compared to drawing it line for line on a blank page
Well,It'll take tile to get used to it.
And stop lying to make me feel better about my drawing, i saw what u can do and its basicly the level i want to reach to start feeling pround about my stuff.
And Maybe give birds a try? Pretty sure you'll do a great job.
Lotus: i did use basic shapes.
Aadame:I'm very signaturable
It's just no one usues my shit .
I was just restating the basic shape thing, not saying you didnt use it alpha x)
Big ass text I typed probably drunk
And art is hard, it takes time to get good. I think I speak for both myself and lionet when I say we have tons of space to improve. It's always good to comapre your art to others, as long as you don't have a negative mindset. I was watching this video not to long ago, and they said something along the lines of changing your art one step at a time. Like if you're looking at other artists and see a piece you like. Identify one thing you like about it above all else, and then try to apply it without looking at the piece again. Once you're happy with that and comfortable with it, you can add something else from a different artist.
Me typing on and on about shit you don't need to know
For example, if I liked the way Lionet drew this one head, I'd find one thing I liked about it. Then I'll try to add that to my art, and get comfortable with that. Let's say it was the eyes, I'd practice that with my current style and make it almost like my own. Now let's say I'm comfortable with that, and I want to add more to my art. I'd fine other artist with things I like. Let's say I see Victors art and say "Me likey dat chin doe MMMM," I'd do the exact same thing with that. Add it to my style and make it my own. To me, being good at art means you're able to mash different people's techniques and make it your own in an appealing way.
Exposing my incognito tab
Most of my style comes from watching people like MikeyMegaMega and mixing it in with my weaboo ass(and some anatomy studies). I've been tainted with "H" influencepls don't go down the same road as me. If I were to say how many artist I've taken stuff from, it wouldn't even compare to how much artists better than me have taken.
Anyway, art is hard. Just keep at it
You'll get farther than most people probably. You look like you practice unlike me xD
Lionet: cartoonish or realistic, animals are animals.
Lotus:well ye i know art is hard and i'm not expecting to get good overnight, or well i do expect seeying some improvements (even if they are really small) by the time i finish filling up my sketchbook.
And looking at good art acually help me keep my motivation because if other people learned to do it then why cant i?
The style thing is not in my concernen tbh, i like to try different things so i cant be consistant (even my tb replays dont have the same style lmao).
Oh and
looking at some anatomy pic acually help
Guess its better than my other attempts.
I also noticed that i was drawing the core too wide for other bodyparts after finishing this.
