Guys, NVM 'bout drums for Smells like teen spirit, our idiotic group wants to change songs cuz the strings can't play the song. :|

Also, I'm thinking of learning lead guitar! Woo. Any comments about this (very cheap, yes, but it would be to see if I like it anyways) guitar? http://www.squierguitars.com/product...tno=0310005580

Also, what's the difference between that and http://www.squierguitars.com/product...tno=0310001532 ? In the title the first one has HSS in it... What does that mean?

I had the same problem as you are having. You need to change the strings/reajust the strings to play it correctly

No, like the guitars and other stringed instruments...

Also, would you recommend HSS, or not? I've read about it a bit.

Those are pretty good choice. Even though they are cheap, they sound pretty good. Squier is far more inferior than its mother (Fender). But Fender doesn't come cheap ,too and yes, Fender has more reliability and far better quality than Squier. It's up to you though.
Well, I know that Fender is much better than Squier, however, I'm sort of the person who knows that I'll probably stick with guitar, but am not completely sure about it, thus the reason choosing Squier. Also, it's easier to negotiate with parents (but trust me, it's not because of this that I choose a cheap guitar). I've also tried one in school, and it feels pretty nice to me. Also, how's the Roland MicroCube? I've seen one in school but never tried it. Cuz I don't want a huge amp sitting in my already crowded room here.

Stratocasters are ideal for anything. Fender feels way nicer bro.

Roland MicroCube is really small. It can run on 6 AA batteries(lol). It already has built in effects though, which is pretty awesome. Although ,go for 30-50W amps just to be safe. They're not that big. Line6 Spider also made some good amps : http://line6.com/spideriii15/ .
Yeah, the MicroCube is small, I've seen and held one (though haven't used). I mean, I don't need top-grade amps, just something to get some OK sounding sound, and the MicroCube seems quite traveller-friendly.

Also how big is the Spider and how much does it cost?
