Yea, well closing the subject - about the openers are made and forgotten - I've seen this opener in the same week, or week earlier, therefore I assumed guy've just grabbed it from someone when he needed an opener and still remembered that it's not his. And I'm aware of the things you said, though if this was the case... then it was too much of a coincidence. Two guys making same opener same week, or somewhere close about that.
