Actually i was thinking the same thing when i first played it.
It looks very poor and halfdone.
But once you started to play and got a character you kinda looks forward to level etc.
Well, then it brings the game to another level.

Divinity is pretty cool, but it reeks of console gaming.

Camera is not so great, and it has 'autosave' that seems to be very inconsistent.

I died and it took me all the way back to the start. Not the last time I exited a dungeon like Elder Scrolls does, not the last cutscene like practically every game does, not the last waypoint or anything. It just took my back to the start.

I really hope this game has a quicksave button.

rly? its dumbed down? I read u have no way points and shit like that, so I thought it was rather complex. Haven't played it tho.
I got torchlight, its pretty cool, but rly not in the mood for it now, got to convince some of my friends to get it so I can LAN
Installed Witcher again, now the combat did not bug me at all, prob I am just in a different mood now than I was when I first tried it

Currently installed games:
Assassins Creed 2 - playing it prob the most, coz it is not brain demanding, is very easy and looks cool,
Diablo 2 - preparing for a next high level character with 1.13 patch , what do u think Druid, Amazon or Necro?
Tourchlight - just took a peak at it, seems ok
Starcraft 2 - a bit bored of it, most of the games I play are similar. Prob will get hooked up a bit later with some other race - Zerg most likely
Two worlds 2 - was pretty impressed with it when I started, the last Chapter took all the fun away
Planescape torment - getting ready to play this gem for the first time
The Witcher - reinstalled it, before I could not get my self to play it, but now it looks promising. The Aurora engine looks awesome here.
Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl - after two recommendations from people whose opinion I respect, decided to get it, even tho I don't feel like FPSing.

megalomania^^
wishful eyes deceive me
Its not dumbed down, its just made for conoles. Camera system is console style (ie poor), and the save system is really bad, compared to PC games that will discretely save. The controls are even consolish. Its a bit... disconcerting to have a game so heavily console influenced.

Ill retry it when I get some free time though, after I find out the quicksave button XD

I've just picked up Mount & Blade Warband and have found it to be great fun
To me it's like a Total War game except you play an active role in the combat. Which is awesome.
Also I found the best way to progress through the arena early on is to use underhanded tactics :P (e.g. Attacking someone from behind while they're fighting someone else, luring archers into shooting an assailant, strike-kick-strike technique...)
try the predecessors of divinity 2,diferent style of gameplay, pretty diferent games compared to divinity 2,divine divinity and beyond divinity. (i have finished them both and liked them way more than divinity 2)

diablo2 lol,i still maintain a lvl 88 barb at europe, maybe we can go one day for some baal hunt? xD

also if you finish assassin creed 2,you must play the first one for sure too

Also,you might like darksiders
