There's been around 850k Xbox preorders and 660k PS preorders (US only, but almost nobody is into preorders in other countries anyways so lets just count America). That sums up to be 90,600,000 without even factoring in how that money is split.

According to this admittedly outdated article, the retailer takes 25% of all the dosh, plus roughly 10% for the consoles themselves. If we pretend that Rockstar is getting a return of 65% of 90 mil, that does not even come close to covering their entire production cost. They've got a long way to go, but then again the game isn't even out yet

Meh, I'll get around to buying this eventually, the euphoria engine makes for some entertaining carmageddon shit, and the story looks badass as well.
