If you are stuck in Silver, expect people to dodge forward and get behind you. Oh and jumping. When you notice people do this shit a lot, jump straight up and do a side air. Or wait and do a neutral air as you are falling to bait a dodge.
Those are the two things that people abuse to get to Gold. This applies to some people in higher tiers as well. It's just that they'll change their playstyle quickly.
